Harvest season is a season of paradoxes. 

As you’re looking over the past year, you begin reflecting on everything you accomplished (or maybe, didn’t accomplish). Before you stretches the harvest, abundant and overflowing. You’re tired, but satisfied. The days get cooler, and shorter, and your body follows suit. You feel a little sad that the gardening season is already over, but somehow, a glimmer of hope sparks in the back of your mind because you realize that this year doesn’t have to define every year: Spring will come again one day, and it will start all over again!

And in the meantime, it’s a season for savoring the produce in our arms today, preserving as much food as possible for the cold winter that’s nipping around the corner, and dreaming of even bigger, better harvests yet to be planted.
