Description
This kohlrabi with a light-green skin and white interior provides a mild flavor. This one also grows slightly faster than the Purple Vienna variety.
Kohlrabi – Early White Vienna – Brassica oleracea (Gongylodes Group)
Soil & Water: Requires well-drained, rich soil. Prefers lots of water too.
Planting & Growing: Direct sow in early spring or late summer. (Kohlrabi can handle light frost.)
Harvesting & Storage: You harvest and eat the swollen stem of the plant, as well as the leaves. It is ready when the stem is 2-5″ large and shows above the soil. To store for the winter, remove rootlets and leaves.
