Description
This open-pollinated flower produces red, pink, and purple flowers that are also edible. This native to Southern Europe blooms in the spring to summer, and it also blooms the second spring when allowed to seed. This makes a great cut flower!
Sweet William – Tall Single Mix – Dianthus barbatus
Soil & Water: Requires partial sun, moderate water, and neutral to alkaline soil.
Planting & Growing: Loosen the top two inches of soil and mix seed with 10 parts vermiculite. Broadcast this mix over the area to be planted in spring. Compress soil and cover lightly with compost or straw. Deadhead to encourage additional blooms.
