Description

“Lady Finger” radish produces 4-6″ roots and 5-6″ tops, both of which are good to eat. It’s easy to force. Produces white, icicle-shaped radishes!

Radish – White Icicle – Raphanus sativus

Soil & Water: Radishes prefer well-drained soil with plenty of added organic matter. They have low nutrient requirements; especially avoid excess nitrogen to promote good root development. Preferred soil pH is 6.0-7.0.

Planting & Growing: Cool weather is needed for best development. Sow seed directly wherever there is extra space in the garden. Radishes make good, living row markers for slower germinating crops like carrots.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest is best when 4-6″ long or so. Radishes grow woodier the longer you wait to harvest them. May keep 1-2 weeks in the fridge.
