Description
Florence fennel produces both feathery, fern-like leaves and an attractive 3-4″ bulb. It draws a lot of insects to the garden, including swallowtail butterflies whose caterpillars feast on the plant. You use the fennel bulb fresh or cooked in stir fries, soups, and other meals. Tender perennial, but grown as an annual.
