“It is only the farmer who faithfully plants seeds in the Spring, who reaps a harvest in the Autumn.” ~B. C. Forbes

Sometimes, it’s tempting to feel like you’re fighting a losing battle, like the forces of destruction are too dangerous, too engrained, too formidable. Challenges abound. Things you previously thought were good plants grow up and produce nasty fruit, and the wind, rain, and insects relentlessly batter the plants you actually want to grow.

But do not give up.

In the dead of summer, when weeds are overtaking the garden and you’re just about to throw the towel AT the tomato plants, that’s the time when you cannot give up the most.

Because he who plants seeds and labors will eventually receive an increase.

Especially in the garden.

If you keep going just a little longer, you will harvest something, and oh, what a sweet something it will be!

Most summers, that means you wake up one morning and visit the garden, only to return with your first small handful of fresh produce. And before you know it, it becomes a steady stream of yummy produce, filling up your countertops, kitchen table, and pantry. You blink, and suddenly, there’s the harvest. Ready and waiting for you. It might not look exactly like what you’d planned, but it’s still a bountiful harvest from God, and for it, you’re truly thankful.

As we begin the peak of harvest season, celebrate with us by joining our annual Harvest Sale!
