Description

This open pollinated variety from Europe produces deep red, 3-4″ flowers with black centers. Known as the American Legion poppy, it makes a great cut flower!

Poppy – Corn (aka, American Legion Poppy) Papaver rhoeas

Soil & Water: Requires full sun, moderate water, and loose, well-drained soil.

Planting & Growing: Plant in the fall or spring. Loosen the top two inches of soil and mix seed with 10 parts vermiculite. Broadcast this mix over the area to be planted. Compress soil and cover lightly with compost or straw.
