Also known as a baby bok choi, this variety grows well in mild climates and also tolerates some heat. Spoon-shaped stems and dark leaves have a mild, sweet flavor.

Soil & Water: Plant in rich, fertile soil (6.0 to 7.5 pH is best). It needs regular, even moisture and lots of organic matter.
Planting & Growing: Start indoors 2-3 weeks before last frost or direct seed at the end of summer for fall plantings. Succession planting works well for bok choy too.
Harvesting & Storage: Harvest individual leaves or the whole head. You can dry for winter storage too!
