Description
This perennial variety is easy to grow and produces large, 5″ wide flowers with long stems. Long-lasting variety.
Daisy – Shasta (Alaska) – Chrysanthemum maximum
Soil & Water: Requires partial sun and moderate water, but adapts to various types of soil. It’s also somewhat tolerant of drought.
Planting & Growing: Loosen the top two inches of soil and mix seed with 10 parts vermiculite. Broadcast this mix over the area to be planted, either in fall or spring. Compress soil and cover lightly with compost or straw. This daisy variety blooms the second summer after planting, and sometimes blooms a second time in the fall if deadheaded.
