Guest Post Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in contributing to Seeds for Generations!
We’re a small, family owned and operated heirloom seed business based in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia. Our blog and website not only provide seeds for gardeners, but we also seek to train new, intermediate, and experienced gardeners how to get the most out of their gardening efforts.
We’re currently looking to add guest posts to our blog. All kinds of gardening topics are welcome, including:
- Controlling weeds in the garden
- Controlling pests (insects, rodents, other animals)
- Garden productivity hacks
- Growing all kinds of vegetables and herbs, especially heirloom varieties.
- Organic gardening solutions for home gardeners
- How to preserve your garden bounty
- How to handle difficult climate situations–droughts, storms, cold weather, hot weather, etc.
- Inspiring and humorous gardening stories from your own garden
- Season extension techniques
- Fall gardening methods
- Garden planning methods
- Tips and tricks for growing common crops
- And more!
(Don’t see a topic of interest on the list? Email us your idea and we’ll consider it.)
Our blog posts are generally 300-500 words in length, but we also accept longer content. Bloggers who contribute will receive exposure to our audience through our email list, website, and/or social media channels. In addition, your guest post will use your affiliate link on the links in the post, which will provide you with credit for all traffic to your post that is not sent by other affiliates! All guest submissions will receive a biography feature at the bottom of each post where you can add a link of your choice. If you’re the owner of a business or blog, we may be able to arrange a cross-promotion of your website too, depending on what you offer!
Blog post submissions should be original content (not published anywhere else) and may be subject to light editing for grammar, punctuation, and clarity. When submitting your guest post, please include your name, email address, and website URL and submit your post in Word or Google Document format. You should try to link naturally to content and products on our site, and we prefer original photographs if possible. You may also add 2-3 outbound links.
Our content contributor program is only available to our affiliate promotion partners, so if you would like to contribute and aren’t an affiliate yet, please learn more about our affiliate program and sign up here.
If you’d like to contribute a guest post to the Seeds for Generations blog, please go to the content contributor page and enter your submission. We reserve the right to reject submissions that do not fit with our values, mission, or current content needs.
Thank you!
