I know that this is an extraordinary time that we are living through right now with the Coronavirus pandemic, and many people are concerned and frightened about what’s ahead.

The good news is that you’re reading this, which means you’re interested in gardening with heirloom seeds! Growing more food for your family is the reason why we started our family business – to inspire and equip other families to grow more of their own food and spread the joy of gardening.

The current situation just emphasizes the importance of re-localizing your food supply, and nothing is more local than your own garden.  We’re here to help you get started gardening if this is your first year, or help you grow more this year if you have a new urgency to really increase your production. Please be sure to join our email list so you can see all the gardening resources and training that we share, in addition to notifications of new seed varieties and sales.

Now, the good news:

We’re still shipping seeds!

Like other companies, we’re experiencing a massive spike in seed orders. Due to the essential nature of our business, current restrictions do not impact our ability to pack and ship seed orders at this time.

For that reason, we’re happy to continue shipping and serving our customers around the country with heirloom seeds for feeding your family this year!

To answer a few questions:

Are you running low on seeds?

Like most seed sellers, we have experienced unprecedented order levels.  We are working as quickly as possible to pack more seed packets and update website inventory.

Since we pack seed packets in small batches, our website will sometimes show that we’re out of stock for some seed varieties, but that is often due to the fact that we need to pack more seed packets before updating the website inventory numbers.  If there’s any varieties that you are interested that show out of stock, please check back regularly for updated inventory status.

Please also join our email list so that we can email you when we update website inventory and have more varieties available for you to order (plus you’ll also receive helpful gardening content)

What are your shipping times now?

Normally, we aim to ship seeds in two business days. Due to the increased order load, however, seed orders may take up to a week to ship, but generally are still shipping within 3-4 business days. Rest assured we’re doing what we can to get your orders shipped and into your hands ASAP.

This is the time for gardening to make its greatest impact yet!

In our view, there has never been a more important time to plant seeds, grow food, and preserve what you grow. It is very likely that what is happening now will ripple through the months, even years, ahead. There will be challenges to face, but gardeners and homesteaders are uniquely equipped to face them (and help others do the same).

In a situation where our food supply has become increasingly vulnerable, and people are searching for ways to weather the coming storm, we have the solutions in seed packets, backyard gardens, and root cellars.

  • Secures your family’s food supply
  • Provides healthy, nutritious food
  • Insulates you from inflation and supply disruptions
  • Allows you to care for your local community

Thank you so much for your support of our family seed business!

To growing together,
Jason, for the Matyas family
