Description
Oregano with a mild pepper flavor–much reminiscent of mint, actually. Perennial variety that blooms in late spring through early summer with small, light pink flowers.
Oregano – Common Italian (Wild Marjoram) – Origanum vulgare
Soil & Water: Plant oregano in light, well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Requires regular, though moderate, water and a neutral soil pH.
Planting & Growing: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, or sow directly once soil temperatures have reached at least 60F. Pinch ends during development.
Harvesting & Storage: Harvest as desired for fresh use. Oregano can also be dried for later use.
